Our Game Plan

Team CHUCKLE Jersey

Riding the PMC as part of a team, any team, has certain advantages - camaraderie, shared knowledge between experienced and novice riders, and the ability to work toward tackling the distance and fundraising "challenges" as a team! Team CHUCKLE's game plan for the 2011 Pan-Mass Challenge is a simple one:

1. A long distance bike ride to fight cancer is more enjoyable when riding alongside some of Boston's top comedians and fellow team members who like to laugh! Team CHUCKLE's motto is "Pedal Hard, Laugh Harder," and our goal for 2011 is to field a team of 50 new and veteran PMC riders who believe that laughter - and a healthy dose of sweat - really can be the best medicine in the fight against cancer. If this describes you, click here to join us!

2. Meeting individual fundraising commitments is made easier by hosting the "Pan-Mass Chuckle" comedy event and attracting corporate sponsorships. Some may believe that raising $4200 is a greater challenge than pedaling 192 miles. Each PMC rider commits to raise a minimum of between $1000 and $4200 depending on the length of the route they sign up to ride. Team CHUCKLE member can help meet - and exceed - their fundraising goals by selling tickets to the Team's "Pan-Mass Chuckle" comedy showcase featuring Team CHUCKLE comedians and other Boston celebrities. In addition, Team CHUCKLE will offer dozens of corporate sponsorship - from logos on Team CHUCKLE jerseys to comedy event program sponsors - with all sponsorship proceeds credited directly to the PMC fundraising account of individual team members who solicit the sponsorships. If this sounds like a plan to you, click here to join us!

Meet the Team CHUCKLE Comedians

Jimmy Dunn is best known for his sports humor, but his range of topics is a whole lot broader. He added to an impressive list of accomplishments recently when he performed for the first time as part of Denis Leary's "Comics Come Home" event at the Agganis Arena in Boston, which bring the best national comedy talent back to Boston to raise money for the fight against cancer. He?s familiar to Red Sox fans as ?Jimmy the Cabbie?, from the Emmy nominated series of commercials for Olympia Sports that he writes and produces. When he?s not driving a cab, Jimmy headlines comedy clubs across the country including rooms in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, New York, Los Angeles and of course, Boston.

Don Zollo (to be pronounced as one word in the vane of Cher, Madonna or Sting) spent 2 years on the Boston comedy scene 4-5 nights a week becoming a regular at comedy clubs throughout Massachusetts. After 2 years LA came calling for him to go out and work on his craft in a new environment. Don has been a semi finalist or finalist in numerous competitions and continues to take his act to the next level through massive, consistent, creative action. His humor comes from both his everyday experiences including growing up around Boston, his sexual adventures and misadventures and out of the norm events whether it be ACCIDENTALLY punching a female midget in the face in front of a roomful of people he was trying to impress or playing football with Tom Brady. Don Zollo thoroughly enjoys making the world a better place one immature story at a time as well as referring to himself in the third person. STAY AWESOME!

Within Corey Rodriguez's his first year of performing stand-up, he led his own show at Boston's well-known Beantown Comedy Vault where he started Wicked Wednesdays. In his second year of performing, he was the winner of the Catch a New Rising Star comedy competition. He played a major role in R&B singer Samson's music video and has appeared in Sam Adams Commercials and a variety of cable television shows. Corey's career also includes participating in NBC's 2009 Stand Up for Diversity Comedy Showcase and was a semi-finalist in the Boston and New York Comedy Festivals performing with such greats as Damon Wayans, Tommy Davidson, Tony Rock, NickDipaolo, Tony Woods, Jay Mohr, Bill Bellamy, Steve Byrne, Big Jay Oakerson, Jim Norton, Jo Koy and Gary Gulman. Additionally, Corey has been able to use his comedic gift to impact the community by raising money for Dana Farber the Jimmy Fund, Rebuilding Boston Together and most recently will be participating in the Pan Mass Challenge. The Corey Rodrigues show is truly a joy for both family and friends and provides an opportunity to let their hair down and simply have fun.

Marty Caproni is one of the fastest rising comics in New England, in a relatively short period of time Marty went from being the office clown to being the only two time winner of the "Bud Light So You Think Your Funny" and won the 2011 Providence Comedy Festival. He has worked alot of the people he used to sit at home and watch on tv, people like Jim Breuer, Charlie Murphy, Jim Florentine, Wendy Liebman, Steve-O, and many more. He hopes you enjoy his performance and insists you lie to him and say you did regardless of how it goes this evening.
